I am reading destiny of civilization.... It is not that hard intelectually or emotionally.... If you want to start with baby steps Stephany Kelton has a book 'Deficit Myth' .... Eighth grade readling level... Not emotionally challenging as well.

What does she mean by industrializing economies in europe on the gold standard pre WWI.... I done read 'killing the host' but I don't really understand how the german standard of doing buisness was going to kill the sterling...

Proffessor Hudson has some verbal communications issues.... I am not as familliar with Professor Desai... I get the feeling that there are some subelties that they disagree on...

@satyendraranjan4255 I don't know her as well.... I think she makes a great contribution... I have a great deal of dificulty keeping up with the new content she brings.... Hudson focusses on the same ground.... It is good to hear a new voice.... Even if I am not as familliar with her and don't trust her as much yet.... I think she makes a great contribution... Hudson does have some verbal communictions issues where Professor Desai is a bit smoother in her delivery...

Now-a-days they are comparing the potter model to capitalism and the stewart way to socialism.... But it ain't so... The stewart way is the way the US and other devaloping economies took off..... I ain't read it but Prof Hudson has a book that he was writing for some academic cred somewhere 'america's protectionist take off' where he describes how america got rich on simillar polices to china... The american-english-dutch moddle is de-industrializing and they call it capitalism.... The Chinese model is industrializing and they call themselves communist... I think words are important.... The geniouses in congress just put through a bill to condem socialism... If they were armed with the understanding of how to create capital they would be condeming de-industrialization as feudalism and be talking about creating capital in glowing terms...

@johnsmith5139 Exactly.... I don't know if it is edited. I kind of know what Hudson will say myself. For me it is OK to get a sligtly different take on it...

We certainly are lucky to have these professors.... I have read books by Hudson and follow him extensively... My understanding is that Prof. Desai was more agressive. To me it is good to hear a new voice.. I like what she says.

@dannygonzales7923 I suppose it is a human instict... My mastery of african history is not great but my understanding is that the Zulu were on the imprialist side as well.... I am not really sure about the far east as well.
