After ww2 Socialists which we refer today as the leftists discovered that if you brownpaint anyone or anything you dont like or agree with then you silence the debate and those that doesnt agree with the socialistic ideas. Since socialists never have any arguments to come with and will always lose any debates then they do anything to shut down the discussion instead.
