It all boils down that their parents abandoned their children with their grandmothers so that they could move to a Chinese mulitmilion city to work in the chinese industry for 12 hours a day to earn a lot of money. The plan was to pay for their childrens education and perhaps one day live in the "the beautiful country" as the chinese calls USA. It all ended in misery because their own children regards them as strangers and they want to earn a lot of money just like their parents did.
