  1. 8:27 So it's unsurprising that the US uses USAID to extend US soft power. Can't really complain about that. However it's a real eye-opener that it's a participant in America's proxy-war against Russia in Ukraine, Amerca's economic war against China, and is an integral part of America's direct intervention in who governs several small foreign countries. Even when you know what the USA is, it's a bit of a slap in the face hearing Connecticut senator Chris Murphy just rattle this stuff off.

  2. Thank you Donald Trump. For saying the quiet part out loud. Only weeks ago the US government was still pretending that it didn't know that Israel's massacres in Gaza were about fast-tracking its plan for further ethnic cleansing. Although it's repulsive to watch Trump negotiate for his personal share of the spoils on public television, it was no less repulsive watching the Biden administration pretending it wasn't happening while enabling it.

  3. OTOH is is also rather funny in a very dark way watching Chris Murphy defend the USAID organization from Elon Musk. How DARE you accuse USAID of being a do-gooder organization? Here's a list of just some of the truly dreadful things we do. So there! Here I was thinking that assisting rebels in other countries overthrow their governments was the job of the CIA. LOL.
