That's NEWS?? The reason why Netanyahou demanded the death of Yitzhak Rabin, who was assassinated soon afterwards, was because Rabin supported a two-state solution. That was nearly thirty years ago and since then Netanyahou has presided over extended Israeli settlement into the West Bank and the killing of many Palestinians there. It's not just hypocritical to pretend that suggesting a two-state solution to Netanyahou is going to have any other result than denial. It's a cyncially deployed smoke-screen. And give me a break. Netanyahou is NOT the problem. The Israelis who voted for him knew what they were getting - his call for the assassination of Rabin was extremely public.

@user36112 Frankly, I suspect you might be right. Which really should make most in the West sit up and take notice. Israel gets a lot of publicity one way or another, but when I realised the big difference between how I'd been led to think about it, and how it really is, I for one felt I'd effectively been lied to. Even its origins - we've been misled for a long time. I was brought up knowing about "greening the desert" and "giving the Jews a homeland after the Holocaust". And NOT knowing that way was cleared for the Jewish settlers by Jewish terrorists who burned out the Palestinians who wouldn't move.

@Bvi9169 Israel was established by terrorists who burned out Palestinian houses to make way for Jewish settlers. Of course it wouldn't be true of everyone, but the people who subsequently settled there anyway could be expected on the average to be pretty bloody minded.
