How many other countries is the US doing this to at this moment? And for control of what resources? I don't know whether you've noticed, but the US currently stands a significant chance of electing a Trump as its President. The US government is largely controlled by those sloshing money through it. What about getting your own country into order and stop effing over the rest of the world? What Biden said about America not being at war is true the same way its politicians and judges aren't corrupt. Now it seems increasingly likely that the "not war" with Lebanon will escalate horribly.

You have an Olympic Games segment that doesn't even mention that a country that has recently been found guilty of various serious offences by the ICJ, including illegal occupation and genocidal like behavior, is competing. This might conceivably be explained away If the modern Olympic Games still had any connection to its purported spirit when it was originally convened, on the basis of a form of diplomacy. However since Russia has been excluded, that holds no water. The Games are now a billion dollar Industry, no more, no less, and so it's no surprise how Right-Wing its politics is. And really, the vague sneering by Tommy about the French. So disappointingly insular.

  7. A question that's never been asked on the Pod. Why the massacre in Gaza? Particularly strange when it has been noted on the Pod that no sane person believes that massacring a civilian population is going to reduce the numbers of that population who commit atrocities against your own population. So why IS Israel massacring those people? Answer: Land. Israel wants more Land. Specifically, Gaza and the West Bank. Without a bunch of pesky people on it who don't want the same things Israel does.
