The one positive point about Trump, and it's a big one, is that he says the quiet part out loud. Palestinians have been saying all along that the destruction of Gaza is about ethnic cleansing. Now the US government has finally said it out loud. It was excruciating watching the Biden administration pretend not to know.

IMHO the opposite is the case. I cannot understand why so many intelligent Americans fall for the relentless propaganda that there is an important distinction between Netanyahu and the nation of Israel. Israel was established by ethnic cleansing by terrorists, one of whom, Yitzhak Rabin, later became a Prime Minister of Israel. However he supported a two-state solution and so was too much of a wimp for Netanyahu, who very loudly and publicly called for his assassination. Soon after Rabin was in fact assassinated, Netanyahu was elected Prime Minister. The Israelis knew exactly who they were getting. Of course not every single Israeli supports him, but that's hardly the point.

The USA cannot endure a simultaneous trade war with everybody else. The time has come for the rest of the world to choose. Continue to capitulate to the US one by one? (Whether the face-saving way, under a pretense of vassal states being allies, or the up-front way, under a public "or else" threat. ) Or make a united stand for self-determination and sovereignty? Does the EU serve any real practical purpose or will it hang Denmark out to dry? And what about Canada, Panama, and, really, everyone else? Because whatever country you are ... chances are you're next. In fact you've probably already had a turn, or several turns.

That's nonsense. There are plenty of countries that still have monarchs and it's arguably the opposite situation - people mean far more to the monarchs than they do to many politicians, and fealty is only an issue for close personal relationships, not for deciding who receives their support

@delta5297 It isn't possible to support it more than all the way. Biden kept sending weapons, military intelligence, and providing political cover as the massacres continued and continued. As the Israelis murdered clearly identified journalists in the area (and then floated the line that nobody really knew what was happening since no reports from western journalists were getting out). As the Israelis murdered international health workers and then terrorized later international health workers. Biden broke US law that says the government must not send money to countries that blockade aid from getting through to other countries. One of Biden's last acts was to send Israel more weapons. --------- (FWIW I don't believe it was actually Biden making actual informed decisions, because I don't believe he was capable. What was left of him was just wheeled to act as front-man occasionally.)
