  1. 8:00 Mary is unhappy with Jon Stewart calling out Joe Biden's age. Behind this is her unspoken assumption that the next US President will either be Biden or Trump. Biden is at high risk of being significantly affected by dementia before the next Presidency ends in 2029. Jon Stewart is right to bring attention to this. Also "The Emperor has no clothes" is kind of Stewart's schtick and there is no more widespread current example of this in the US than pretending Biden's age is not a problem, except for the pretenses about Donald Trump. What Mary (somewhat imitatively) calls both-sides-ism is just Stewart calling it as it is regardless of the side; something quite different in important ways. The US needs the Democrats to pick a more competent candidate. Biden has done a great job but he is falling at the final hurdle, which is to retire gracefully and endorse a successor.
