Just some info. he was driving a Mercedes Class A AMG, with Polish plates, so that was suspicious already, then he was driving at excess speed in a bus lane, the Police stopped him at a traffic light, but when he saw their blue lights, he sped off through the red light, so the motorcycle police followed him as he broke multiple more laws almost knocking over pedestrians and a cyclist, the vehicle was then slowed by heavy traffic at which point the officers tried to make him stop by drawing their weapons, he once again ignored this and tried to drive away even though a policeman was literally leaning over the bonnet pointing his gun at him, so the Policeman fired. He was also 17, the legal age to drive in France is 18, and it takes about 6 months to a year organise and pass a test. So he was illegally driving a car very likely stolen and tried to mow down the Police. Sad but whose fault is it really?

@stopcensorship7705 So how would they issue an "interpellation" if he refused to stop and was driving a car registered in Poland? Who would they issue it to? He should have been at school if he was 17 instead of driving stolen cars without a licence going through red lights and almost killing pedestrians and cyclists. What would you say if he drove away for the second time and then killed somebody? Presumably you would be saying the Police should have stopped him? If the Police ask you to stop, you stop that way you don't get shot, it's not the fault of the Government if he is so stupid. It's sad he died, but really he has nobody to blame but himself. I stand with the Cop !!

@stopcensorship7705 You obviously don't know French Law very well. French law makes it difficult to get any accusation to stick, unless you manage to extricate a confession, which given that he refused to stop even when a gun was pointing at his head was unlikely wouldn't you say, or you have to arrest the person in "Flagrant Delit", ie caught red handed in the act. Relying on "recognising the driver from a distance in a moving car", wouldn't stand a chance in court. If the car is stolen plates are useless, and he couldn't have rented the car from a car rental company as he didn't have a licence so they wouldn't have rented it to him. You are just making it all up, best to stop now before you look even more ridiculous.

@billmurray7676 No chance. The French are Socialists at heart they could never allow Le Pen or Zemmour to be President, you are dreaming. In the absence of a good socialist candidate they will vote for the most moderate. In any case the French President is powerful but the Assemblée passes the laws. Zemmour has no MPs and no real party, he would be unable to do anything meaningful even if he won, but there is no chance of that.
