  1. It is laughable though to suggest that the EU had anything to do with ending the Nazis. The Soviets, maybe the EU had a hand in it, although it was more to do with Gorbachev's reforms and Reagan,  but the Nazis effectively ended in 1945, and the EU didn't appear in any form until 1951.
