Well we have rolled over all the EU trade deals, and struck a few new ones in 6 months. So all the deals the EU managed in 60 years and some new ones. Nobody could have imagined the EU didn't want a deal with its second biggest export market, very strange. Interesting the point about Hondas though, Honda also pulled out of the EU, they also said it had nothing to do with Brexit but was because of the slump in demand for diesel cars caused by increased regulations (which came from the EU). As for Ireland we don't want a border, we have the CTA agreement, so if peace is threatened by a border it will be because the EU puts one there, not us and not Ireland.

@garyturner5790 I agree, but who could have foreseen the EU would have been so stubborn. What can you do? If they don't want a fair deal then there will be no deal.

@phoebus45 There is no "WTO " law, the WTO is a repository and a dispute settler, an intermediary, they are not a political organisation like the EU, they don't make law.
