Some things are funny some subjects don't deserve parody, bordering on abuse. The rich and powerful fair enough but making fun of the poor and sick is just being pretentious and brazenly obnoxious. You know like everyone making fun of the fat guy at school is bullying.... These guys are not comedians any more they are jinogistic looking for cheap laughs, such a shame.
2
@asphyxiafeeling Well you know it's true, a lot of the same things that happened in nazi Germany are happening not just in the US but in Europe too, out of control police force hate against a religious minority (Jews/Muslims) Imaginary enemies, invading countries, and Nazi Germany was very technologocally advanced, they invented jet engines and rockets and had the best weapons...The US took their scientists, Werner von Braun basically started NASA. It's not crazy if you think about it.
2
Of course there is, do you make a joke about somebody dying of cancer, not unless they have been dead for a long time, certainly not when they are alive, for goodness sake some words are considered bad taste. So theses guys sitting in their supposedly rich country think it is funny to laugh at people dying of hunger and disease elsewhere...How obnoxiously nauseatingly self-centredly snooty can you be?
2
@VictimOfBoredom Well whats Guantanamo Bay? A concentration camp in a foreign country... Do you know about FEMA camps? If not you should look it up, this stuff doesn't happen overnight.
1
@VictimOfBoredom Well there aren't many Christians or Jews there...are there? However do you really condone your country maintaing a prison in a country the US has boycotted for 50 years? Don't you just find that a strange requirement?
1
Well I disagree with your comment, seems to me more that they are making fun of the fact that many Americans think Africa is a country (Sarah Palin for example), so why wouldn't some think it was an ailment. Making fun of people dying of disease isn't funny matey except in very exceptional circumstances. As I said originally the comparison would be Texans dying of America, it isn't even funny in the first place without degrading other people in the process.
1
@minicoopkart Paul isn't doing anything? He is on tour pretty much constantly, he just returned from Brazil and Argentina.
1
@VictimOfBoredom But why don't they want them? You know isn't this like the Germans wouldn't want Jews in their borders? Can't you begin to see the similarities?
1
@G3org3Master Yes I know I am one myself.
1
Well as I said, I used to find them funny, but now they are scraping in the gutter. Fart jokes would be a step up.
1
@VictimOfBoredom "They" refers to the people you said were scared of having muslims in Prison. "Them" refers to those scary superhero muslims who are going to break out of the prisons and wreak havoc across the states.
1
Hmm the Onion used to be funny, but this is not only in poor taste, it just isn't funny, they could say all Texans/Californians etc die of America, but that isn't funny either.
1
@mosteel88 Well do you think would a good thing? Where would you send them? It didn't work out really the way England thought it would, but is thatgoing to help? I mean you were so scared of these guys in Tora Bora, where could they be sent that the fear would subside?
1
@VictimOfBoredom Haha that's really twisting things... Not at all the point is in any other prison you would have multiple ethnicities and relious origins, but not Gimo, how you twist that to saying I suppport quotas for detention is an ineteresting touch.
1
@VictimOfBoredom Well let me ask you if you could estimate the religion of the inmates of Guantanamo Bay... around 100% Muslim would you say? Why is it offshore? Military tribunerals, no rights under the constitution, you might call it a prison, it looks like something else to me. And the Fema camp thing is not a Conspiracy Theory, they do exist, the question is why?
1
@VictimOfBoredom Well right so what is Iran going to do how are they going to invade the States without a significant navy? What is the US scared of? North Korea? All these wars and who is actually really a realistic threat to the US? Really only China or Russia, they both have tons of nukes so why all this fuss over tiny countries and a religion, can't you see?
1
Haha yeah I agree about that a lot of people actually think it's real news which is good for a laugh, and sometimes they hit the mark with some very funny stuff, the couple that do the breakfast news are usually hilarious and they manage to deal with tricky stuff in a funny way, but this just came across as if it was written by a 15 year old who has never been outside his home town.
1
@Rationalific Yep I'm concerned by trying to do too much they will run out of material and become repetetive very quickly and spoil a good thing. Film at eleven.
1
@VictimOfBoredom I said right from the start it is the same here, yes Geert Wilders is a dangerous man, the BNP are nazis up front, I agree, I am not bashing America or the American citizen or the European. I am saying the powers that be are using the same tactics as the Nazis, and the people are falling for it. It's a very dangerous situation, you know the muslims are no more a threat to the US than the Jews were to Germany.
1
107% of people polled, they were working overtime.
1
@VictimOfBoredom Well it's an important point "musilims are threat" I mean that would be the basis that they have to be kept in Guantanamo rather than in a prison in the US? Wouldn't it? So even if you personally don't think so the point is that propaganda soup has the people believing it to the point where they won't get on a plane with one. The powers that be are the folks who choose our presidents and prime ministers and etc.
1
@VictimOfBoredom You can google FEMA camps and find videos no problem, and there is denial that they exist, Fema openly say they do, but nobody will say what they are for. Are you trying to tell me the US is so scared of people they consider terrorists they have to send they to Cuba? The Cubans don't seem overly concerned. The reason they are there is to avoid the law. Terrorism, what is that? Is blowing up weddings in Pakistan with drones peacekeeping or terrorism?
1
@VictimOfBoredom But terrorism is a tactic, the French Resistance, would be considered terrorists by the Nazis, but we consider them heroes. You can't fight a war against a tactic. These people have to use these tactics because the US military is so powerful in a normal war they would have no chance. The only way to kick back a bit for these peoples at the US is to use this tactic, it's a totally unending ridiculous manufactured situation.
1
The scrolling texts are also hilarious, "study finds visiting Mt Rushmore only slightly more exciting than looking at a photo of Mt Rushmore".
1
@VictimOfBoredom Well how about it's got to the stage that recently two imams, flying to a conference on religious hatred on internal US flights were asked to leave the plane because the other passangers didn't want to fly with them, I would say that's pretty far down the road, it's only a small step to smashing up muslim owned shops....
1
Would be funny if a couple of billion actually made a difference.
1
@VictimOfBoredom No I'm not saying they should imprison anybody but if you take a sample prison population anywhere else I think you would find a sample of most beliefs, Jews, Buddhists, christians, Jedi knights, athiests, scientologists and possibly even somebody from the Westboro Baptist Church, but I don't think you will find another place where the inmates are almost 100 % muslim.
1
You might not be kidding, but they are.
1
Interesting the Onion does potatoes, what's up next? Shepherd's Pie?
1
Thanks for the remarks about my perceptive ability, but I am perfectly capably of discerning the intention of the sketch, I find it is seeking cheap laughs, probably from semi-educated people around 20 years old who think they know it all.
1
They confiscated the toothpaste and left the C4.
1
@geniusjas87 Haha so who killed the other people in the car? How about people from both sides pray for their favourite team, how does God figure that one out? Who do you blame when something bad happens? Mumbo jumbo.
1
@VictimOfBoredom * no denial The country that spends more than all the other countries in the world on its military is so scared of these guys that they have to be kept aborad, give me a break, start thinking about the why's in all this, and don't forget you have been told repeatedly they are a threat, but really are they? Who is going to invade the US? Canada? Mexico? Iran? C'mon it's ridiculous there is no threat to the US it's all made up.
