You don't seem to understand how business works. If you sell to the EU you need to follow their rules, when you sell to the US you need to follow their rules and if you sell to Japan you need to follow their rules. The CE marque is self regulatory ie the manufacturers decide whether they comply or not, unless the product is life dependent (ie hospital equipment, aircraft parts etc). Even if it does need an outside body to verify, once it is verified it is verified, so leaving the EU didn't change anything. Our exports to the EU are a tiny part of our economy, Ford can follow EU regulations if they want, they are valid at the moment in the UK so no worries. And the trade deal allows for parts to come from the UK and the EU to avoid problems with the Rules of Origin, which by the way are solely for the purposes of the EU collecting tariffs, indeed the German car manufacturers who have seen sales to the UK half since 2016 are very concerned about it. But hey it's the wonderful protectionist EU...

Not really. Numbers don't mean anything if they don't have disposable income, and most Europeans are not very wealthy.
