"Far Right" again...If any Brit dares to stand up for anything they are far right. They don't even know what Far Right means, it just sounds scary.

Labour are quite mad.

Tice was always just a caretaker, and he knew it. As for why Nigel gtes attention, well because he says what a lot of people think, and is a very good speaker. In short he has Charisma, and that is what a very important characteristic for a leader.
14
"Very vindicating"? Just as well he put on his Sunday best.

I am torn on this, on the one hand I think we should be able to choose the moment of our death if possible, I certainly don't want to fade away, I would rather go before that happens, on the other hand it can have unintended consequences, Suicide is now the leading cause of death in the Netherlands. Could people with Alzheimer's be pushed into it to facilitate inheritances before all the money goes on care? You can be sure that will happen... Any bill would have to be very comprehensive about the how and why.
9
He should hire Diane Abbott to crunch the numbers for him.

It's just madness, what next the Army refuse to fight because there are bullets flying? The whole purpose of the fire service is to save people in danger, that's the job, it's risky, in France the motto of the Pompiers is Sauver ou Perir, Save or Perish... Maybe for once we could learn from the French, it is absolutely disgraceful the Fire Brigade relied on civilians to do their job for them.

Started work when I was 11, I collected milk money once a week for the milkman, I sold cream door to door on commission, I would go around and wash cars, and I eventually got a Sunday Paper Round which I did until I was 19, running the shop from the age of 17, It was great I learned so much about dealing with colleagues being a boss of paperboys, doing the accounts dealing with customers. All before I had left school. Money? I used to get 40p a round as a paperboy which took about an hour on bicycle and would do about 4 rounds on a Sunday so I made £1.60 a week (mid 70's) at the start...But what I learned gave me a head start in business.

@chrysalis4126 Well you could also argue we should not have made them public companies in the first place, that's what stifled competition, people seem to forget that before they were public they were privately owned.
3
@mikeallison7753 These days? Anybody who is not far left.

@Arthur_King_of_the_Britons Indeed, the capacity of the sewers has not followed the supply of Poo being deposited. This is just a further issue to blame on "capitalism" when the problem is immigration.
2
@Arthur_King_of_the_Britons That's true, nobody wants to come to Scotland unless they come from further North. I think of myself as British though, so it is the whole country that is affected, and it is now causing problems, the immigration is also badly handled, immigrants are creating communities inside our country, that's not good, as we see from the civil war in France that is not openly declared but is definitely happening.
2
Trans people do face a lot of abuse, but according to Stonewall, 75% of it comes from their chosen partner, it's their own choices that result in abusive relationships.
2
@SonOfExcess I doubt that, The Tories haven't been doing a great job recently, but at least they aren't bonkers. Just look at Wales !

Not good, but on the other hand is it their fault? 10 million people have migrated here in the past 20 years. Everybody goes to the toilet at least once a day, so that's 300 million extra deposits a month. Was that factored in? Is that their issue? I am not condoning dumping waste into lakes, but let's have a bit of common sense applied, investors also expect returns, if they don't receive them, they will move their investments to where they do, they also have bills to pay, these are pension funds and so on should pensioners not receive their pension? This isn't really their fault, they just have to fix it.
1
@OliverKitkat What is disgusting? Going to the toilet?
1
@jujutrini8412 Really? can you provide any evidence of anything the Government runs that they run well? I want the government to look after defense, Police and Justice, and making the law, provide a couple of essential services on a local level, like fire and rescue, and that's about it. I mean you want them to build sewage systems right? How about a railway? Or roads without potholes? How are those "Public service" things run by government doing?
1
JamJam0189 Does it? Do 14 people living in shared accommodation pay 14 times more than a pensioner living alone? I doubt it. It's nationalised in Scotland, we have the same problems. This is just nonsense, don't blame the companies it takes time to build stuff, they have just spent 5bn on new sewers in London, which aren't quite finished yet, they started in 2015 and expect them to go live next year. So a decade of building preceded by a decade and half of planning. 25 years to build a sewer these days.

@bentaylor895 Well we have laws for that sort of thing already. They have no idea of the political leanings of the protesters. If they don't like the protest, then it's "far right", if they do, then it's "mostly peaceful". This is very dangerous rhetoric. Remember when the people of Knowsley protested about their children being molested? That was far right too !! In Liverpool...Where finding anybody that doesn't vote for the left is an almost impossible task.

How about just Policing fairly. Stop painting rainbow flags on Police Cars, stop arresting Brits and allowing Machete carrying immigrants to roam the streets, how come nobody in Leeds has been arrested, they attacked a Police car there and burned a bus. No arrests as far as I can see and yet the guy who set the bus on fire was on video. There is no far-right, or if there is it is tiny, all the "riot" areas were left wing areas, those people didn't go from being Labour voters to being far right in a week. It's just a scapegoat. The protests have not gone away, there is just going to be a change in tactics unless the Government gets a grip on Immigration.

More bullying at the BBC, not a surprise really that seems to be their Modus Operandi.
1
Disgraceful interviewing, they are supposed be balanced. This is why nobody is watching the mainstream media any more.
1
@ImloyaltoScotlandonly Well no it's not, read article one of the act of Union.
1
@ImloyaltoScotlandonly You can believe what you want, doesn't change the facts. That's why it's called the United Kingdom, and not the United Kingdoms.
1
@ImloyaltoScotlandonly Not really relevant. You seem to be living in some sort of parallel reality. Maybe apply to Rwanda for asylum as you don't like the UK.
1
@infinitedaryl2267 Well look harder, it's on their literature. Perhaps they have changed or removed it, try looking up the wayback machine. It's a feature of a hedonistic lifestyle, when they don't get what they want they have a tantrum which often ends in violence. Just look at the aggression towards anybody who disagrees with them, they are the angry violent people.
1
@infinitedaryl2267 Well I don't really want to debate you, you were the one that started the conversation, so if you want to slink off that's absolutely fine by me. I didn't make anything up, it came straight from Stonewall, sorry I don't make an archive of everything on the internet. "They" make their own problems, if "they" got quietly on with their lives nobody would care, but "they" want everyone else to move aside to accommodate their hedonistic desires.
1
@infinitedaryl2267 The Source is Stonewall. That's all.
