FDR was a fine talker but the depression went on until December 8th 1941. The unemployment numbers the rates of bankruptcy filings all of it. Goes to jail a month or so, pardoned, paroled, released. Charged is big news, jail time and released little or no news.

  32.  @williamraffen5941  Bernie went from Welfare to Mayor of Burlington Vt. a college town. To get the college vote Bernie froze all rents to their current level. Taxes increased regulations increased and prices increased. He took landlords to court because they stopped renting. He said they must rent out their apartments and it was racist and sexist and ophobic and so on. Landlords said the rent does not cover the bills. We don't want to be involved in a business guaranteed to lose money. Bernie did a lot of things like that, sounds real good to start ends up badly.
