It is made worse by the collapse of independent high quality journalism, with central editorial control, and the employment of dependent employee mouthpieces, who rotate from news reading, antiques roadshows, strictly dancing and countryfile or the like. They have careers, do what they are told. People like Marr whine away with predictable tedium, originality of thought and robustness of language assiduously avoided, bland repetition of long held bigotries on display. The populace spoken of, and to, like infants. The institutions corrupted by being occupied by inadequates.
