The level of rage there , inter-group resentment, combined with a level of lies to a truly benighted population, with an economy falling rapidly to mid-third world status by all the metrics including truly dreadful productivity gives little opportunity to avoid such a situation. Combine that with a venal manipulative unintelligent liar in the form of the incoming Prime Minister and there really is no hope there at all.

  2. We experience unstoppable, runaway climate change. The present condition was expected to be experienced later than 2050. We emit 4 times the Co2 and near CO2 gasses than we did 45 years ago. That acceleration is ongoing. And the rise is autonomous, not now largely human generated, and comes from the natural world. We cannot stop the catastrophe. Sunak. Truss. All, the rest. Bloody irrelevant. In my opinion, we have left it FAR too late to help ourselves and the globe and its species now at mortal risk. Leaving aside utterly terrifying catastrophic unstoppable climate change, Britain has fallen apart, all but every year since 1945, with the exception of only one capable administration. Too late now. The competition has done for it. Poverty failure, collapse. Who seriously believes it can be avoided there now??
