  1. Germany registers about 22% poor. On a far higher GDP/capita base, the US registers 12.% Go and film in Germany- even better, incredibly poor UK now.

  2. The problem is not simply measured poverty, it is the collapse of values of what makes for human social order and contentment. The Anglo Saxon world knows the price of everything, and, clearly, the value of nothing at all. Britian is FAR worse than the US, since it is, absolutely, far far poorer.
