  7.  @Nicknofish  I understand why you feel the way you do, but consider the past. My family were clever, but poor and nothing for them, rather the reverse. My uncle who wanted to be a lawyer and would’ve been a very successful one I’m sure because he matriculated from school second in the county in those days quite an achievement became a navigator in a Wellington bomber and died in it. I’m old and was born a little while after he died and would’ve loved to have known him where a young I would fight for England not because I love it because I respect the past, which was better than now. England has become a social, cultural, political and economic horror story. My dad was wounded in the wall. His friends were killed on the beaches of Normandy and late in life said that it was not worth the effort because England had degraded so much I understand why you felt that way I feel the same yet. If I was young, I would still wear the uniform. I would still make the effort and if I were killed, then I would hope someone would put flowers on my grave. We don’t really have a choice of what we are since we are where we came from if we are English, I do not live there now I live a long way away, and I look on and weep
