  1. What Monbiot says is correct and it cannot be faulted. The problem, however, is.. he is an aggressively radical, left-wing obnoxious character in my view, and in the view of many, and he does a great service to those who wish not to respond to the reality of climate collapse. his sneering his contempt for others, his inability to keep with a simple argument that England is a pimple on the world, and it is destroying itself while all of the other great powers do virtually nothing to change. the direction of travel does not endear him to anybody irrespective of the acceptance of the horror that is to come. Consider it a living tragedy that the left has hijacked the climate tissue as a lever for a bitter loathing anyone who has any sort of prosperity at all for the inevitable reaction by anyone who has any sort of prosperity at all, is to reject hook line, and sinker actions that might possibly save some of us as we visit hell in the future, and not too distant of future at that. Obviously natural systems are collapsing around us. You would have to be a bloody fool not to see it. It is not human nature to understand nonlinear change, but an aggressive windbag like Monbiot does far more damage than he does good. His ego and his arrogance stop him realizing that .
