A grossly irresponsible pitch for a massive budget rise, as Ukrain has clearly lost this war, cannot be retrieved, and the cause wqs the utterly irresponsible insistence on Ukraine joining NATO pushed by the US having coerced France nd germany into supporting it. Total madness; and it flirts with nuclear conflict, in a ruined Europe and impovershed Britain.

  4. FINE WORDS. YET THE BRITISH ARMY IS, NOW, VERY SMALL INDEED, AND FINANCIAL AND OTHER RESOURCES ARE MORE THAN CONSTRAINED. The reality requires a solid alliance of the great nations of Europe, and that includes the UK, with a recovered German military power. Without a powerful, commited Germany in cnetral Europe, nothing can be done. The power requiring commitment and agreement with all this is, firstly, Germany, followed closely by France and Germany. Such warfare will destroy ANY chance of slowing the progress to catastrophic climate change. THAT is what will destroy global human social organisation. FAR more dangerous than either party winnijng in europe, be tat Russia or 'The West".
