I seem to recall that for quite some decades, The BBC, of which Mr Oliver was a celebrated component part in terms of his appearing often in front of the camera, was instrumental in trashing the respect we used to have for the political, social, economic, cultural history of the post-Imperial, Imperial and pre-Imperial periods of that country. He did, from memory, not object to that valdalism as it happened. Why now???
