  1. It costs over £40k per year to house each criminal, so work it out just how much these 43 will cost the taxpayer. A 10 year sentence means nearly half a million quid for just one overseas criminal. Lets think about not having enough prison capacity so Labour want to build more prisons. Yet do you know that 16% of all prisoners are overseas criminals. If you deported 16% of prisoners you wouldn’t need to build more prisons. Think how many billions each year those 16% cost, and then ask what use our politicians are
