There is a driver shortage all over Europe and thousands of drivers went home not because of brexit, but because of the pandemic and lockdown, why would you stay here with no wages when you could be back home with your family. Eastern European drivers have been exploited in Europe for years hence the reason many came here. However in Europe they are paid for work completed but not paid when the truck isnt moving. Use google and find out how Ikea are serviced and the cheap labour they use with Poles and Lithuanians who are thousands of miles away from home but forced to stay in their cabs for months until works starts up again
