Comments by "Peter Dockerty" (@peterdockerty8077) on "'War on motorists!': Mike Parry slams Welsh policy change to new 20mph speed limit" video.
Keeping to 20mph means driving in a low gear means more fuel used means more emissions plus damage to the engine if crawling in low gear for a length of time

Hydrogen technology is the answer and British JCB have already created working engines on its heavy plant and vans. Using existing diesel engines a quick conversion means engine manufacturing will carry on. Electric trucks cannot pull the same weight/payload as a normal truck because of the weight of the battery, so twice number of trucks needed to move the same freight. Stupidity.

Electric cars are heavier and therefore cause more pot holes. In the manufacture of an electric car more emissions and greenhouse gases are produced than a diesel car that runs every day for 30 years. Sheer idiocy. We cannot produce the electricity for all these cars as gas and oil are already producing65% of our electricity. EVs are not the answer and never will be

@stevec6427 so we will never be able to produce enough electricity to keep EVs on the road, we will never be able to move goods from factories to warehouses to supermarkets and to homes without doubling the number of HGvs on the road which is in itself ridiculous and unsustainable and we will never be able to produce the number of batteries to build enough EVs as we would be vulnerable to blackmail by China and any other place who controls rare minerals required. Yet you believe there is no place for hydrogen for some very strange reason. My profession means I’m fully aware of the massive issues around EVs and Hydrogen is the only sensible alternative to fossil fuels as green energy is beyond parody and it would have us all living in caves and foraging ….
