  1. Yes, I agree. If you consider right and left wing exclusively on the basis of Free Market VS State intervention then yes, Europe has always been to the left of the USA. Yet, Trump is not exactly a free marketeer yet no one considers him a left winger so clearly that's not how we use these terms
