The problem is not Erdogan, but those who keep voting for him. Tomorrow, Erdogan will not be there anymore but if this kind of mentality will stay, some other authoritarian crazy strongman will be elected

@kathykaura7219 yes I agree, I was sarcastic on external forces. I still believe some people are too narcissistic and once they've been too many years in power, they start losing their mind

Erdogan did well in his first two terms as PM, then went crazy. Too much power and paranoia often leads to terrible consequences and unfortunately some leaders are so narcissistic to understand their time has passed

@billm3210 the problem is that if the opposition goes into power and implement what you're suggesting, Erdogan (or those similar to him) will only benefit as they can blame the government for the inevitable austerity
