Why can't the black hole have a density limit like a neutron star? Let's say 2 neutron stars collide forming a bigger neutron star, but the newly obtained Schwarzschild radius is larger than the newly formed neutron star's radius, therefore it becomes a black hole. This black hole evaporates mass through Hawking's radiation until the radius of the neutron star within the black hole overtakes the Schwarzschild radius again, so the black hole becomes a neutron star again. What I am asking is; why can't we just treat the Schwarzschild radius as a gravitational shadow?
