  1. I would rank civilisations in a different way: Type 1 = a civilisation, which can adjust the orbits of asteroids. Type 2 = a civilisation, which can adjust the orbits of small moons. Type 3 = a civilisation, which can adjust the orbits of terrestrial planets. Type 4 = a civilisation, which can adjust the orbits of ice/gas giants. Type 5 = a civilisation, which can adjust the direction of stars. Type 6 = a civilisation, which can adjust the direction of supermassive black holes.

  2. Haha, yeah, that's true...:) hummm... I ment adjusting the orbit significantly enough to cool Earth's climate for example... I ment that the orbital adjustments have to result into benefits for the civilisations themselves, which could be stomping the ground strategically nonetheless. :D
