The problem with UV light killing those bad viruses is, that 99.999% of the good microbes out there are killed as well... Living in a too sterile environment is in the long term not healthy either.

@MauritsWilke if the immune system doesn't get in touch with any microbes because of the clean sterile environment, it will start attacking benevolent substances, like peanuts, dog hair, latex, etc., and now an allergy has begun to develop.

Ah the Dutch, scamming their customers since colonial times. The worst part of it all: we are really proud of it as well! ;)

Corporations can manufacture lightbulbs, which can last a lifetime, but they won't make them, because it isn't profitable. One way to circumvent this, is to make corporations rent out products instead of selling products...

Trumpism doesn't have Trump-followers. He was loosing with his "immigrants are eating our dogs and cats". What Trump has, is Elon Musk-followers. He even talks like Elon Musk now, saying we are going to enter a Golden Age and stuff.

This and both democratic and republican parties have to be split in two, so there will be four choices: - Conservative republicans under leadership of Donald Trump - Christian republicans under leadership of Mitt Romney - Central democrats under leadership of Joe Biden - Progressive democrats under leadership of Elizabeth Warren ...or something in the same vein, you get the idea hopefully. The current two American political parties are both too big to really represent their people in the nation.

This topic makes me think of Robin Williams and Terry Pratchett, who were both diagnosed with dementia and both took their own lives. Terry Pratchett investigated assisted dying and even documented it publicly on television, and everyone who knew him were at peace with it. Robin Williams however made a rash decision and everyone who knew him are still distraught over this rash decision he made back then. Now I am wondering if it would have been different, when assisted dying would have been available for Robin Williams? Not only for him, but for everyone else too?

Isn't this over-designing?
