  1.  @scootergeorge9576  To extend range, altho a poor substitute for a dedicated type. It could attack enemy aircraft, but very limited against ships/submarines, but if it spotted subs, or forced them to dive, that still helped. Anything with more range would have been useful, especially in the far east. If it could have been catapulted for convoy use then again, a bodged stop gap until something better, like the B24 arrived.

  2. Possibly useful for Coastal Command, or ferry pilots, but yes, arrived about 5 years too late. Thanks for the video!

  3.  @scootergeorge9576  Yes, but it wasn't available at the start of the war, which is why if the dual wing concept was available earlier, it could have been used to extend range, & then act as a fighter when required.
