  1. They're trying to copy Mrs T because it was a major part of how she won the 1979 election. She was comfortable in a hard hat & hi-viz though & this shower aren't.

  2.  Iain Elliott  actually, if you look at the allowable pollution figures for petrol & Diesel they're pretty similar except petrol-engines are allowed to produce twice as much NOx. And all the big-scale users (vans, lorries, trains, boats etc), where they're still using piston engines, are using Diesel because they use less of it than petrol.
