 @safirahmed yes it does! It also competes with the Isle of Man, the various Channel Islands & the British Overseas Territories. All of them tax havens!

The English Civil Wars were a battle for supremacy over the whole of England, a battle between 3 factions, the Crown, Parliament & the People. The People lost quite rapidly but the rest of the battle took most of the century with cities changing sides rapidly as one faction or the other approached.

You're conflating independent concepts. The concept of the corporation didn't hold till Parliament executed the first King Charles & won the English Civil Wars. (The other combatant group was the People who also lost).
