  16. The UK was the world's supplier, each in their time, of coal, steel, tin, woven cloth & many other things. What changed is that politicians got bored with their very expensive country piles falling down holes & the air becoming unbreathable. Being British politicians they weren't about to regulate to make it safe so they shut it down! Since 1918 that's been our fault for not picking politicians who will do their job to benefit us!
