@johnbradshawe1263 Android is a very incomplete Java on top of a very incomplete Linux -- it exposes the vulnerabilities of 2 systems while including none of the mitigations of a full implementation of either. As a unit it is deliberately broken so Google can collect the data it's advertising business is built on.

@peteratkinson922 😢 It's a distraction – while you're looking at that you're not looking at the corruption in politics, you're not looking at the increasing numbers of millionaires & billionaires whose money comes from the very poorest & now the middle incomes, you're not looking at the increasing numbers of food banks, you're not looking at the NHS being sold off piece by piece, you're not looking at the NHS staff moving abroad because they can't afford to live here any more, ever increasing taxes paying for ever fewer potholes being fixed, streetlamps being taken out because Councils can't afford the electricity any more, Councils going bankrupt, unswept streets, sewage on all the beaches & rivers. The list of things being covered up by this "immigrants" rhetoric is endless. It's not even real, we've only had laws about immigration since 1973, there was no law for the 4000 years before that. 😢

@therealrobertbirchall Thatcher was expecting "The Market" to take over whatever Government dropped, it hasn't worked out like that (& very obviously was never going to without a heck of a lot of Government interference, something the Torys claim to be against).

So vote Green, most Green parties worldwide are promising to do exactly that & without reductions in living standards. Even the mega-rich are only likely to have slight reductions & the money they're hiding overseas reduced, the lives of the poor will definitely be improved, starting with Universal Basic Income & the rescue of Public Services. Green parties recognize that humans are part of nature & nature cannot be rescued without rescuing humanity too.

Dagits as shown here are very short range & the larger ones are very noisy & still have fairly short range, they're totally unsuited to the situation in Ukraine except in very specialist roles like bomb disposal or shutting down operations in contaminated rooms. Also, have you ever seen a video of one operating in mud? No? You're not likely to either.

@Jay-eb7ik you didn't notice the Dagit in Battlestar Galactica? Doctor Who's K-9 didn't have legs but only because the BBC is cheap. There was an artificial elephant walking around Regents Park zoo in the 1930s that could have carried an armed howdah like a real one, there's countless examples of armed or easily armed mechanical quadrupeds in both fact & fiction dating back many decades.

@brunocastro6758 the D'Hondt system used to select representatives for the EU Parliament was PR & had constituencies (albeit large ones), we have PR selecting other positions too, just not MPs. I understand Stormont's members in Northern Ireland are selected by PR. Losing constituency representation is not a requirement of PR, it's a choice.

 @12bigredd we've only had parties since 1834 & Ministers were selected by the King, he still has the power to appoint Ministers from across Parliament & I wish he would.
