  1. 15:28 indirect injection Diesel engines have a separate combustion chamber which is connected to the volume above the piston (where the valves are) by a short tube. Because of this maximum RPM is reduced compared to direct injection engines.

  3. 4:50 (& repeatedly through the video) "long stroke" vs "short stroke". There is huge disparity between British English & American English which may be the cause of the confusion here but in British English a "long stroke" has a stroke longer than the bore diameter & a "short stroke" has a stroke shorter than the bore diameter. (Where bore & stroke are the same it's called "square". No I don't know why). Obviously this has nothing whatsoever to do with the compression ratio which, as you say, is the ratio of swept volume plus combustion chamber volume to just combustion chamber volume.
