@bandwsf, yes Europeans blame America's 'Big Tech'. USA's advertising & lobbying is distortive & extremely destructive. Much of the early software for interactive & collaborative use of the internet came from Europe, IRC, BBS, WWW & even 3 of the first 4 web search engines were all European. European researchers & students do most of the groundbreaking work & Americans just market it with flashy advertising & with just enough added 'bells & whistles' to evade patent law.

@kingofbithynia it's all about infrastructure, China will rapidly build power stations, roads, railways, whatever your factory needs, in the rest of the world your new factory needs to battle through decades of planning permissions & fight for connection to utilities.

@kaptnblaubeer145 China has essentially eliminated extreme poverty (unlike the West) & they are world leaders in producing & installing renewable tech. The coal-fired power stations people whinge about are temporary, they're used to power new industry & population centres for a few months while they run the wires across from where the hydro, wind & solar power comes from then they're knocked down.

Very disappointing 😢 You do realise Cobalt isn't used in current vehicle batteries? Instead it's used in refining Diesel & used in 1000x the amount that ever went into the now-superceded batteries. Also, Neodymium-Iron-Boron aren't the only strong magnets, there's dozens of different materials. Ask experts to go through your scripts before you make yourselves look foolish again!
