@lynet1998 Republicans & Democrats are the same party, you need to vote for a better party 😮

1st item, 0:26, vegetable theft. Potatoes are an excellent subsistence food that takes time, effort & a tool to steal, it's almost certainly starving people taking them & they'll stop when the need is alleviated but strawberries are a luxury item with near-zero nutritional value so it's people who have overcome their societal block against theft which is something that's going to take decades of sustained effort at all levels of society to remedy & during that time they'll be stealing anything. Germany has a big problem 😢

@soreeyez given that ísrael & USA (& through USA, gulf oil) are supposedly allies which other countries pose a credible threat?

@Nemesis_69-i9l vote left-wing of course! There is no other solution.

6:20 Carrington Events are not odd but they're rare, we had one in May which disrupted GPS & the previous one was 2005 which took out some of Sweden's electric grid & blew up some transformers in South Africa. They're a feature of long wires trailing across the landscape which we've had since the 1850s (solar flares have happened since the sun lit up) & every time there's a problem the owners do something more robust to fix it. The measures put in to handle much more damaging lightning strikes handle most of it. The days of exploding TVs & white goods catching fire are long gone so now we can go outside & watch the pretty light show.

4:00 "this is crazy, everything's getting more expensive". Of course it is, your country has been voting right-wing, that's what right-wing governments do. They'll blame you for it too.

Social inequality & gated communities are also symptoms of right-wing governments. It really is important to know what you're voting for 😢

7:48 you can set timers for routine times when you want the battery charged & there is a "charge it now" override. You can set how much charge you want left in the car with each timer. Electricity companies don't take much of your charge, in the region of 1% to 5% usually, so it's not a noticeable amount. The habit you have to change is actually plugging it in, most people don't bother plugging in for a week or more. People living with these right now don't feel restricted.

8:46 during & after World War 2 governments maintained 3-day or bigger stockpiles of food, medical supplies, fuels & other things. In the UK this has been gradually withdrawn over the last 30 years as governments have become more right-wing, food was the first to go with stockpiles being taken over by major supermarkets (local shops are allowed to run out). Our 2010 government closed the medical supplies stockpiles, they just locked the doors & left it with 2 obvious (& predictable) results, medical supplies became more expensive & when Covid hit the stockpiles were a decade out of date. More recently gas storage was sold off (mostly as housing estates) & when the Red Sea became a military target we had problems, now many ports have queues of tanker ships substituting at vast expense for the sold storage. I expect most of the EU is suffering the same problems as governments go more right-wing, it's good that the EU is warning you about this consequence of your voting habits but without directly interfering.
