It's interesting that Gary is now starting to compare our current situation to Dickensian England 😢

The Crown Estates (established 1707) is an excellent example of how that could be done.

 @cretumarius9616 basic education including Civics first! Everything builds on that!

 @cretumarius9616 you miss my point entirely. Without a thorough grounding in democracy & the machinations of both State & economy along with lobbying, donations & all the other mechanisms of influence nobody can make a reasoned & grounded choice in voting so we end up in the spiral we're heading down at the moment & no amount of higher education will address that (we have extremely well-educated people studying it already & making no difference). Your selfish approach of wishing yourself a better education doesn't help you either if the economy & infrastructure are collapsing around you as they are right now. The key to a better future is improving everyone's situation not just those few who are prepared to sacrifice everyone else.

London Transport was free for a month or so till Thatcher noticed & put fares back on it. All the busses were full all of the time for that brief period.

 @jimr1603 between 10pm & midnight cleaning becomes an issue, lack of service is understandable. In many places you will also find reduced availability of taxis for the same reason.

 @scott_d_owens we can all read what you wrote, we can also see that you responded with Ad Hominem to a reasoned counter suggesting that you neither understand nor believe your claptrap. 😂😂😂

 @drachirtell but your 100% inheritance tax takes SpaceX away from his kids – zero incentive to learn or work hard. There's plenty of other illustrations showing how your idea is totally counterproductive.

 @cretumarius9616 and still you avoid my point.
1
 @cretumarius9616 sorry, I'm not understanding how you consider my point to be "false", can you explain please?
1
 @cretumarius9616 please also explain how you feel my point relates to the NHS?
1
 @cretumarius9616 just for complete clarity, please specify what you mean by "full" in your phrase "NHS [is] full with foreigners"? The only firm statistic I can find is "19% of NHS staff are foreign born", statistics for users seem to be vague but suggestive of comparatively low usage, possibly because of our unusually high mortality statistics.

 @cretumarius9616 no you didn't
1
 @sea_ellef nope. That's why Hayek/Pinochet/Reagan/Thatcher's "Neoliberalism" is so evil. And why a tiny number of people made their fortunes from the kick-backs.

There is no spare capacity in healthcare! Private health workers already work for the NHS, most as their main job! We know this, there is no point Starmer lying about it 😮
