  6. You've missed 2 other very important power brokers, Russia & Israel. Johnson has sided with Russia & Starmer with Israel, both have been public about it, especially Starmer. Russia's relationship with English power seems to go back to the familial relationship between Victoria & the last of the Tzars but Israel's relationship is much older, I've found references back to 1750. Murdoch sides strongly with Israel & this relationship was key to Blair's appointment, Starmer appears to be assuming Murdoch's support because of his toadying to the Israel Lobby. He does seem to have a direct link to Israel through Assaf Kaplan which he instituted when the UK's Israel Lobby didn't seem sufficient to get Murdoch's support. I wish Jeremy Corbyn had handled these relationships better, he's a genuine democrat.

Many of those reforms came when Thatcher (bless her cotton socks, she got this right) took us from EC to EU in the '90s, it didn't go far enough for Corbyn but the voting change from "unanimous" to "qualified majority" along with the increased democracy Thatcher brought made Corbyn's reforms completely possible & even probably likely. This, well before 2016, changed Corbyn's stance to "it needs reform but we're better in than out" & this is the position he espoused at 70-odd events campaigning for the referendum (more than any other Labour politician despite what the propaganda tells). The snippets of the events that got through the Press censorship were truly inspiring, if even one had been broadcast in it's entirety at prime-time we would never have left, Labour's membership stayed at the '2:1 in favour' of consistent historical record since the '60s though the country as a whole dipped to 50/50 for the month surrounding the referendum. Russia sank at least £14million into Cambridge Analytica & it shows, comment after comment on here still repeating the same debunked propaganda, it's part of why Corbyn was so vociferous about the Russia Report.

In the real world management play both workers & shareholders to achieve their aims. For example both British Leyland & Ford used to run their production lines slightly fast & when they built up too much of a stockpile would cause an upset & provoke a strike, only "backing down" when the stockpile had cleared sufficiently. Companies don't pay workers while they're striking so the outlay is minimal & in years where supply is close to demand they don't provoke strikes. Shareholders are also played though the mechanisms & aims are different.
