  3.  @henryjoshual1848  the failed belt is the oil pump drive & the engine has done 70k, it's probably done 5k or more with a few teeth missing so 65k is not soon enough. On another thread someone claiming to be a Ford engineer says this belt breaks up if the oil isn't changed frequently enough & my guess is that the recommended Ford oil has an additive specifically to preserve that belt, an additive that's unlikely to be in any other brand oil.

  5.  @charlesgallop7026  of course the gauze will clog, there's a metal pocket over it to ensure any grit that falls out is right there ready to be sucked right back in!
