@spacetruckerbob "yes a time when we made stuff here in this country and we bought stuff from here in every way we could and used mom and pop stores no matter the cost or the time lost" and this has what to do with modernizing our ports? are you suggesting that mom and pop should start sailing across oceans carrying shipping containers???? do you not understand what would happen to our society if we stop using the wheel??? what is wrong with you people?? manufacturing in this country is one thing, but to oppose the advancement of technology to promote efficiency is pure lunacy!

@CamposXO "Some technology is good for society but automation is not the answer" ok, if we can skip the adolescent insults and name calling... what is your suggested alternative to automation to make our ports more efficient? or do we simply cap the efficiency and rate of production regarding the movement of shipping containers? is the cost of goods a factor for you?
