"The IRS agents are necessary to make sure the rich pay their fair share, as it is the wealthiest taxpayers pay the least amount." ummm....... isn't that what legislation/law is for? change the tax laws if that's what you want to do..

@johnbroker327 I'm all for a flat tax rate. I believe in equality. I do not believe in equity.

@johnbroker327 "I love that idea too, and no more electoral college either, every vote should count!" do you know why the electoral college was implemented?

@davidclark573 my, how things have changed david... Trump wants whistleblower named despite 'physical danger' On Thursday a lawyer for a whistleblower told the White House that Mr Trump's rhetoric was placing his client and family in physical danger. Undeterred by the letter, Mr Trump renewed his attacks on the whistleblower and lawyer on Friday. The individual's identity has so far been fiercely guarded by Democrats. In August the whistleblower filed a report that eventually triggered impeachment proceeding against Mr Trump. The report expressed concern over a phone call a month earlier in which Mr Trump asked his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden, a Democratic front-runner for the 2020 US presidential election.

@johnbroker327 "I believe that was from the past when people could not get out to cast their vote so they elected electors to cast their votes for them, but those days have passed especially with all of today's technology. Is that about right?" not really... try google. another question that might help clarify, do you really want to live in a true democracy where the majority rules? where "every vote counts"? kind of like how pirates would vote the captain of a ship off of the ship by simple majority vote? do you know what that society would look like?? 51% of the people voted to remove the right to vote for women.... 51% of the people voted to remove the right of citizens to own property... that's how you want to live? good grief.
