FEC drops investigation into Trump hush money payments BY JORDAN WILLIAMS - 05/06/21 9:16 PM ET 2 - if this is about campaign reporting violations, (like both clinton and obama were found guilty of, but never indicted) it was a federal campaign, not a state campaign, so federal campaign laws wouldn't apply, not state campaign laws.. is this correct?
