Getting language credit for computer languages is nothing new. I got credit for ASM and PLC when I was at UCLA in the late 70's. Of course computer languages (maybe with the exception of assembler) are languages; they have syntax and grammar, as anyone who has written a compiler knows.

What about a language that is like the Inuit system, but distinguishes gender? eg. Hebrew where a cousin can be בן דוד, בן דודה, בת דוד, בת דודה (ben dod, uncle's son; ben doda, aunt's son; bat dod, uncle's daughter; bat doda, aunt's daughter) Is it considered Inuit, or does it have another name?

English allows one to be very precise, we have so many words that mean almost the same thing. In other languages I know, you can't be so specific. Meaning is inferred from the context.
