You missed the part where the original protests were very peaceful, this after months of violent and threatening muslim marches every Saturday, through London, where the police turned a blind eye to the violence and threats against Jews. The peaceful protests were met with brutal arrests of pensioners and grannies, and beat downs of younger protestors. Then Starmer came out, and called all the protestors "far right thugs", while completely ignoring their legitimate complaints. As a result of the two tiered policing and nasty diatribe, the next night, the protests turned into riots. Starmer then cracked down on posting "incendiary" information. One of the social media posts, that got the poster arrested, was of an Arab illegal alien, who beat up a police officer, but got no jail time, because he didn't speak English, and a white Brit, who merely yelled "I pay your salary" at a cop, and was tried by a magistrate judge, and was sentenced to two years prison time. When calling attention to such horrible injustice, gets one arrested, there is something wrong with the system.

I wish Nissim Baruch (z"l) had lived to meet Milei. He is the economist who did battle with the histradrut (trade unions) and rid Israel of its triple digit inflation, allowing it to become the startup nation. These two men share a lot of similar ideas about the evils of socialism. They would have liked each other a lot.

@bobjones-b7o First, there really is no "palestinian" people, they are Arabs. The Arabs in Gaza are mostly Egyptians, who invaded from Egypt after 2005. Second, their population has more than tripled since they invaded. That's hardly genocide.

We moved out of LA, in 1989, because the schools were going downhill. Sadly, the racists are even stronger here in Portland, since 2020. The city elected a new school board, that tried to fight this racist crap, but the teachers union is fighting back, and teaching an unapproved pro-Hamas curricula.

I used to live in Los Angeles, and bumped into stars all the time. Some are nice, some are putzes. But, Henry Winkler is the nicest man to walk the earth. I ran into him several times, and he was always gracious and kind. I belonged to the same shul, when he brought his little daughter in, for her naming. I've never seen anyone so happy and proud. Seinfeld gives off a similar vibe, warmth and humor. And, unless you're in the periphery, you might run into him someday, בארץ.

It's just not true. eg. The Farhud of Iraqi Jew occurred before Israel became a state. Yemini Jew had enough of the oppression in Yemen, and began returning to Israel early in the 19th century, while the Ottomans still ruled.

All the progressives point to Canada, as being such a wonderful, liberal country. Why not have exactly the same immigration laws Canada does? You know, where those claiming asylum must prove they face death or serious discrimination before they are allowed into the country. So basically, right leaning sources are labeled disinformation. This is absurd, as many left leaning sources are full nothing but disinformation. For example, recently islamists tried to shut down a London theater, in a Jewish neighborhood, because it was showing a movie about the October 7 atrocities. They vandalized the theater with antisemitic slogans, and rioted to prevent people attending. Working class Londoners rallied, and protected the theater and those trying to attend. The BBC reported this as right wing thugs attacking a muslim vigil.

I believe the point is that wars begin, when the enemy perceives you as weak. Compare the present administration to the one that preceded it. Trump restored sanctions on Iran, which prevented them having the funds to give to their terror proxies. Plus, the killing of Suleimani made them realize the US wasn't going to give them free reign. It is quite doubtful, if Trump had been reelected, that Russia would have invaded Ukraine, or that Iran's proxies would have attacked Israel. Deterrence prevents wars, and the GOP believes in deterrence.

If anyone has watched the Netflix series "מלכת היופי של ירושלים" The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem, they'd know this is not a new problem. The Arabs are on a rampage, during one of their numerous pogroms against the native people, and attacked this Sephardi family, raping the mother, and then one of the daughters kills the rapist. But, when it is clear the mother is pregnant, and not by the father, because he had not been in the country, it almost breaks the family apart.
