  1. His described Brexit as "Make a decision based on information that was, at best, misleading. See the potential ramifications of that decision, and then be held to what may have been a misinformed choice." With the discoveries of how Russian disinformation skewed our last presidential elections, that also seems to define how we got stuck with Trump.

  2. The pro-Brexit folk claimed that, if it passed, there would be loads of extra money to spend on National Health. They even had an ad on a red bus claiming an unbelievable sum would go to NIH if it passed. Also, xenophobic types claimed that all the foreigners would instantly be deported. Nobody mentioned how farmers and other producers would lose massive amounts of export business. Or that the UK would have to pay huge amounts of money for the privilege of leaving the EU. Or that the Eastern Europeans would probably stay, or risk all the Brits in sunny European climes being given the boot. As an American I didn't pay attention to all the false claims being made, but did note that those for Brexit shared commonalities with Trump voters. Mainly ignorance, and a really skewed world view..
