  1. Saudi Arabia and the UAE would gladly up their oil production, if the US would stop considering any deal with Iran, that does not put an end to Iranian backing of terrorists. Both countries have had their oil refineries destroyed, by attacks by the Houthis, who are armed, trained and funded by Iran. Why should they help us, when we tacitly condone such attacks?

  2. That's a great long term goal. But, in the short term we need more oil, to make up for what Europe shouldn't buy from Russia. The way to do that is to get the Arabian peninsula on our side, by ending Iran's support for the Houthi terrorists lobbing missiles on their oil refineries and civilians. We need to put the Houthis back on our terror watch list, and stop negotiating with Iran, until they've stopped funding, training and arming terrorist militias. That would not only get us more short term oil, but would help with world peace.

  3. The Saudis would increase production, if their production facilities were not being attacked by the Houthis. If the US would tell Iran, "No deal until you stop funding, training and arming terrorist militias", the Saudis would help out. But, instead we just took the Houthis off our list of terrorist groups. Why would they help us, when we are bargaining with Iran, and not helping them?

If we want the Saudis and Emirates to help us, by raising their oil production, we need to help them, by getting rid of the Houthi terrorists lobbing missiles on their oil refineries and civilians. Instead, we are busy making a deal with Iran, that does nothing to curtail their funding, training and arming of terrorists, while taking the Houthis off our list of terrorist groups.

  7. There is no conceivable way to get the Saudis or Emirates to help us with oil production, as long as they are victims of terror attacks from Iranian backed militias, like the Houthis. If the US wants help from the Arabian peninsula, we need to forget about any deal with Iran that does not include a stop to funding, training and arming terrorists.
