@abc5442 That's false. They aren't "being held" in Mexico. And, why did they pass through Mexico, instead of claiming asylum there? They are economic migrants, they are not facing genocide, like real asylum seekers are.

Ral Deform Throwing out nasty bon mots does not change the fact that, that is exactly what they are doing. Sure, they are turning themselves in to the border control, but first they entered illegally. They traversed the whole country of Mexico, without claiming asylum, because they are not fleeing genocide, they are not true asylum seekers.

@whitelily227 It is not the policies of the US government that has these people producing more children than they can afford to feed, it is the policies of the Catholic church. The only US policy that needs changing is the Mexico City convention. We should be giving these people birth control, not money. If the family size, in these countries, was as small as the average family in the US, they'd not need to send their excess children here.
