  1. The infrastructure bill polls very well with the public, the large reconciliation bill polls worse than the ACA did before passage. Congressional Democrats need a win, and the infrastructure bill is winnable, if obstructionists on the far left don't tank it in the House. That could help Democrats keep their narrow advantage in Congress, come 2022. If the overly large reconciliation bill is rammed through, without some serious pruning down, the populace will punish Democrats, just as they did in 2010.
